At Routeique, we know how important a good school can be in creating a skilled and knowledgeable workforce. For the past two years, we have partnered with the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) to foster life-long learning, improve the student experience, and offer internships for the continued development of student skills. In fact, many of our current employees began as SAIT students who were hired as interns following the completion of their program. Offering positions to recent graduates is an important part of Routeique, and we strive to provide interns with opportunities to work with the team on an existing project and to create and execute their own project.
Recently, a few members of our team attended a talk at SAIT for fast-track technology students, in the Object-Oriented Software Developers, Network Technology, and Web Developers programs. A member of our team Kelsey, who completed a fast-track technology program at SAIT attended to talk to the students about working for a start-up company like Routeique, and the importance of trying, failing and learning from your mistakes. Rio, another member of our development team, also attended to encourage the students to never stop learning, and stress the value of experiential learning.
Routeique's partnership with SAIT is incredibly important and valuable to us as a company and to Alberta as a whole. We are thrilled to continue working with the students and educators at SAIT.
